Producers' Roundtable Nov. 21

This year MCM has upgraded many of the tools we offer to video producers.  Have you seen the new high-definition cameras?  This month we're inviting everyone to a Producers' Open House where all the new gear will be showcased!  Please plan to drop in on Thursday, November 21st between 5 and 8pm.  See the new field cameras, edit gear, light kits, and studio upgrades.  Meet other producers who create programming at MCM.  Trade ideas; maybe recruit some crew members.  We'll provide snack and drinks.

Final Cut Pro X Edit Station

With new high-definition cameras available, where can I edit my stunning HD footage?

MCM's new Final Cut Pro X edit suite offers editors HD creativity with an entirely new layout, graphics, and functionality.  Combine your stunning footage with improved audio features, and your entire project can become a high-definition masterpiece!  Create a digital file to take home with you, or burn a blu-ray disc to show off your HD project. The next FCPX Class is scheduled for November 9th.  Contact MCM to register, or to arrange a worksop session that works with your schedule.

Welcome First Presbyterian

A long-standing McMinnville organization is the newest program contributor on MCM-TV. Pastor Sayer Strauch of First Presbyterian Church teams up with editor Gary Buck to produce Foundations: The Bible. Watch for their weekly message Wednesdays at 3pm and Sundays at 5:30pm here on MCM-TV.

Producer Weber

A big shout out to Paul Weber who created multiple projects last month! These include the Yamhill Co. Historical Society's Tell Your Stories & Ewing Young Historical Park Presentation. Paul has also produced videos of the Peace Fair and Walk for several years. They have been big hits on MCM-TV and will continue to air over the next few weeks.

Studio Shows Online

Are you getting the maximum exposure for your program?  Some studio productions live on the web after they play on MCM-TV cable channels.  We can show you how to grab a file from the control room Tricaster that makes it easy.  For an example, check out the Arts Alive Youtube site

Hillside Seminars

Hillside's "Adventures in Learning" series provides fascinating seminars for active adult minds. Recent topics include geologic events, Oregon shipwrecks, Grande Ronde Tribe history, and more.  Thanks to MCM-TV you can enjoy these programs on local television.  For showtimes, look for 'Hillside Adventures' in the Search by Program Name field on the MCM Program Schedule page.
