Viewers of our local channel can now see local government in action as MCM-TV televises McMinnville City Council sessions.  A new high definition camera system is operational in McMinnville's Civic Hall.  The bi-monthly Tuesday meetings will be recorded and televised the following Wednesday at 9:00am & Thursday at 7:00pm.

Upcoming Events

The Yamhill County Historical Society again stages their annual Farm Festival April 12th. Featuring teams of draft horses, the event offers a plowing competition as well as an added agriculture in art photography art show. It will be held at the Heritage Center.

City Club will be hosting Local Author of Little Century Anna Keesey. Presented in the Grand Ballroom on 3rd street, the talk will begin at 12pm.

The Art & Wine walk is starting on the 19th. Walk the six blocks, stopping at participating businesses to view art exhibits, listen to live music, and enjoy special activities.

And don't forget the Master Gardener's plant sale at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds on the 26th.  You can purchase plants to help fund scholarships and support local gardening awareness.

One Poem A Day

With April being National Poety Month, Mike & Elizabeth Santone have pieced together daily poetry readings from community members. These videos will play every day, so take a moment and plan to enjoy this wonderful art form at 7pm every day on MCM-TV.  Check out some of Meadow Lake Studios previous Poems on their Youtube channel.

Non-Profit Informational

Miller Woods, one of the largest local hiking and walking trails in Yamhill County, had a native plant sale this last month. As a local non-profit in McMinnville, an informational video was created to help inform community members. Check out more local informational videos on the MCM-TV Youtube page.

MCM Board of Directors

The McMinnnville Community Media Board of Directors elected Mike Santone as Chair of the group at the annual meeting in March.  Mike takes the leadership position from Larry Yoder, who becomes MCM's past-chair.  Ryan Hall assumes duties as vice-chair while Mark Carlton continues in his role as secretary/treasurer.  The group honored Steve Cox for 6 years of leadership to our non-profit organization.  Recent additions to the board during the previous year include Phil Guzzo, Joe Parsons, Lisa Weidman, and Paul May.  Our board plays a crucial role in the success of MCM.  We thank all these individuals for their volunteer donation of time and talents.  One additional board position is available.  Contact MCM's Executive Director Jerry Eichten if you are interested in learning about participating on our board.
